Mythological creatures are fabulous beings that look different from humans and that humans feared or worshiped and around which stories and legends were forged. In Spain, we have a long list of mythological creatures. They can be the same but named differently and with slightly different characteristics depending on the region. They also can be very different, from fairies, elves, and mermaids to demons, lost souls and witches. We will now talk about the most important mythological creatures of Spain, which are still important today and can be found in popular culture, both being mentioned by the elderly and by the young.
