The time between the 8th and the 5th centuries BC. is known as the Archaic Age, whose start point was the creation of the Olympic games, organized in honor of the Gods.

From this time there are more findings than from the previous Age. The Dark Ages were finally overcome and the first communities started to appear. Culture in all its expressions was back as a priority and the first colonies were founded in South Italy and the Cyclades.
